She shook her head as she started to set up the fire. "We can just keep it going to cook the fish that Alan caught and then put it out." she told him. She didn't want to be the reason why they both can't relax. She brushed some of her hair out of her face before she started rubbing the sticks together. Soon a small flame started and she blew a bit. It slowly started to grow. She leaned back as she let her head fall back as she smiled. It was so beautiful day.
Alan shoved sticks through the fish and waited till the fire was ready before placing them in the fire. He sat to the side, on a broken trunk of a tree. He looked around just keeping an eye on their surroundings. He wasn't to alarmed since he knew that around this time of year most thieves weren't there. They all must have heard about her kingdom. He was sure that's where their attention was. He looked back at Astrid and frowned. He could tell that she was fighting with her emotions at that point. He softly laid his hand on her head and pet her slightly. He didn't look at her he was just petting her. She hid her face in her knees and accepted the touch.

"You're quite skilled at camping Ast. Thanks for starting the fire. I'll cook while Alan keeps a look out."
He patted her shoulder gently before moving closer to the fire and held the fish over the flame. Hopefully this wouldn't take too long to cook. Even if there were no thieves otu in the forest today they might see the smoke from the neighboring kingdoms and send out a small party to investigate.
Archon sighed as he looked around at the scenery surrounding their little triad. It was a beautiful day to be outside and the foliage was as vibrant a green as could be with other colors mixed in with wild berry bushes and flowers. The running water nearby made it even more serene. The current mood would never hint at the lunacy that could unfold when they make it to Ast's kingdom. If it was truly taken over by criminals they wouldn't need an excuse to kill them. They weren't part of the band so they were victims and Archon would be damned before he'd let them victimize Ast again. He was fairly sure the wizard could hold his own so he wasn't as worried about their new companion should anarchy ensue upon their arrival.
As soon as he finished cooking the fish all the way through, Archon put out the fire by throwing dirt on it. Throwing water on it would only cause a tower of steam that would elongate their vulnerability to being spotted from afar. He turned to Astrid with a smile on his face as he handed her a fish and then handed one over to Alan before beginning to devour his own.
"Should we stay here for the night or should we move on? What do you think Alan?"

Alan looked towards him before he removed his hand from her head. He her a small whimper from her but pretended not to hear it. He had been near people like her before and didn't want her to be dependent on touch and other people. He needed her to be strong. "We should move." he said as he slipped off the trunk. He hesitated before he bent down and helped Astrid to her feet. "We have to move away from here just in case someone saw the fire. I don't really want to get into any fights in these woods." he told her. His attitude totally changed.
She nodded and glanced at Archon before she started after Alan. She was still dealing with the mental effects of what happened so she was still rather tired. She panted softly as she pulled her hair up and away from the back of her neck. She was feeling rather hot. She started to slow down slightly before she tripped into a tree.
Alan looked back. "Here is a good stopped." he told her as he walked over to her and smiled. He set his bag down and looked through it. He found some herbs and mixed them together as Astrid started to relax. "Hey, can you get some water and take a look around. I just want to make sure everything is okay here." he said as he hinted at the fact she wasn't going to be able to move more. He didn't know how to help her and she would snap. He needed to have a conversation with Archon about what they were going to have to do to get in. But she was going to have to have her episode before they got there. Astrid slowly fell asleep.
"Archon, lets go." he said as he got up. They started to walk away. "We have to influence her emotion so she can get better. If we wait then when we get there she will expose us. And there is no way we can leave her anywhere. But I can't help her. I wont. I can't stand that type of contact and feeling things." he had a hard past so he couldn't stand hugging people or comforting them more then a pat and ignoring them. "I don't know how long it will take and she may want to kill me after, maybe even during. It may take hours, it may take a day or two. It all depends on if she fights the drugs or lets them heal her." he said with a sigh as he leaned back. He was great with herbs and mental issues. Because of where he used to live and how sadistic his father was. He even had to use it on himself to get over his own past.

Archon followed the two of them as they made their way further through the forest. When Astrid ended up leaning against a tree he knew that it was time to stop. She was obviously exhausted and still recovering from what had happened to her and now this terrible ordeal. The poor girl, he felt for her. He walked up to her and gave her his flask.
"Drink something and relax for a bit. This should be far enough that we won't be found after the campfire."
He placed the flask to her lips and offered her a drink by tipping it ever so slowly so as to oblige her should she open her lips. He turned to face Alan when he said that they should go and how sensitive a situation they were in.
"I will not abandon her just because she has some traumatic event she is recovering from. It's inhuman and unfair. You scout ahead and I'll wait back here by her so that she can have someone she can trust somewhat nearby."
When the drugs started to take effect he watched as she started to make grunts and groans of discomfort. He turned to Alan.
"What was it that you gave her?"

Alan looked at her then returned his gaze back to him. "Its just herbs mixture that isn't used very often because of its rough effects." he said with a soft sigh. "I will be back in a couple hours. I'm just going to go ahead and check out how bad it really is." he explain as he took a few steps. After a couple seconds of looking her over he spoke again. "Just make sure she doesn't harm herself." he told him before he started walking.
Astrid was moving around slightly. She whimpered softly in her sleep as tears rolled down her eyes. "P-please stop." she said softly as she started to cry. Her body shook like she was scared and unable to get out of the situation. She rolled on her right side and wrapped her arms around her chest and cried softly to herself.

Archon watched Alan walk off while his travelling companion was beginning to show movement. She seemed rather uncomfortable as if something ro someone invisible was attacking her or doing something to her that she really didn't like. Archon couldn't understand the mentality of someone that could just walk away and leave someone like this. His very soul ached for him to reach out and try to console her even if it wouldn't work.
He picked up her body enough to wrap his arms around her into a gentle yet firm embrace. His lips less than an inch away from her ear, he whispered to her in an attempt to break the nightmare's hold on her.
"I'm here Ast. I'm here. I won't let anyone hurt you. It's just a hallucination or bad dream. You need to snap out of it. I'm here and noone is doing anything to you."
His cries fell on deaf ears however as he had surmised. The nightmarish scene that she was caught in was too vivid and real for her to hear his voice. He sighed and just sat there with his arms wrapped around her so that she didn't thrash about and hurt herself with anything .

Astrid's cries slowly stop as her mind went through what had happened and she came to terms with the fact she was violated. She slowly started to become aware of her surroundings when she realized that there were arms around her. She hesitated before she started to relax. She let her eyes slip open and she saw Archon sleeping. She hesitated before she slipped away from him. She went to the water and sat down. She let a soft sigh slip out of her lips as she let her mind wonder. She didn't know what to do. She was scared her king would be dead and no one would be able to save her kingdom.

Archon awoke when he fell over onto the ground after she left him. He looked around startled at first until he remembered where he was. He didn't wish to risk giving away their position so he didn't call out to her. Instead he scanned the tree line with his passive eyesight until he saw the river in the distance. There he saw a lone feminine figure and relaxed slightly figuring it was Astrid. He kept an eye on her quietly for a while, wanting to let her have some alone time. The poor girl probably needed it especially a moment away from the male persuasion after what she had been put through. After a bit of time had passed, approximately twenty to thirty minutes, he approached her.
"It's just me Ast. I didn't want to scare you. Are you alright? I was worried when Alan gave you that supposed medicine. You had a small fit in your sleep. I apologize if you didn't want me touching you."

Astrid looked towards him then smiled. "No, you are a very comfortable pillow. I just wanted to do some thinking and didn't want to wake you up. I guess I did anyway." she told him with a soft laugh. Alan walked over to them and sighed a bit.
"Well... We will definatly have our work cut out for us." he explained as he told them about what he had found.

Archon smiled in return to her and held back a chuckle at her comment.
"Doesn't sound like a good situation to run head first into. We have to figure out some way to get in there, rescue his majesty, and get out without arousing too much attention. The last thing we need is to have to take on an entire army," he muttered as he attempted to think of a strategy that would be useful in their current predicament.
He turned to Alan after a few moments of pondering.
"You went ahead to scope out the situation. Did you see anything that could help?"

"The only thing that I can think of is if one of us pretends to be a guard, Ast can just blend in as a regular worker after we get her in their uniform, and the other as a prisoner. Its going to be hard but I have a plan. Archon, you much pretend to be the long lost prince. I figure that way you can get close to the leader. They have a rule, you are what you kill. So all you have to do is kill the king and send them home. That sounds simple enough." he said with a small laugh. This was going to be so hard, for everything to play out right they all had to be convincing in their own roles.
Astrid shrugged. She would do anything for her king. But she was afraid of giving him that false hope that he found his son. But she agreed. This was the only way that they could get into the kingdom.

"Sounds like a simple enough of a plan. What do you think Ast? I figure it's our best chance. If I am to be the prince though Alan who is supposed to be the guard, and who the prisoner? I can't very well play two roles now can I?"
He turned over to the mage questioning his plan after briefly directing a question to Astrid. He wanted to ensure that there were no glitches or hitches in the plan that could get them all killed. In order to ensure the highest probability of success they would have to have every single angle covered.

Alan laughed. "The prisoner is the prince Archon. I'm sure that they would be interested in you and that would give us an opportunity to get close to him." he said as he crossed his arms over his chest as he leaned back. He knew where he could get the cloths for the two of them. "I will be the guard bringing you in. I have no problem being calm under tuns of pressure. We will bring you right there and I'm sure you should get an opportunity to kill the leader with in the first day." he told them with a smile. "Ast, you can clean around and find out about the king while I pretend to be just a regular guard there. I will be around if you need me, just stay calm and everything will be fine. They have no reason to attack or hurt you." he told her and she nodded.
"Okay, I understand." she told them both with a smile. She was a little scared but she knew that it would work. It would have too. She was so scared that the king would dead.

"You need not get me clothes for my part Alan. It's simply solved. Watch...." Archon responded as he began to tear and tatter his clothing that he was currently wearing.
Once he was finished tearing the clothes to his satisfaction, Archon bent down and took some ashes from the edge of the fire and smudged his clothes with them to make himself appear as dirty as a beggar. Once he finished the costume he turned to both of them, presenting himself.
"Well? What do you two think? Convincing enough?"
It was then as he was waiting for their opinions that he noticed the look on Astrid's face. He approached her and put an arm around her with a smirk on his face.
"Don't you worry Ast. We're gonna rescue your royal buddy before you know it and we'll be getting to happily ever after sooner than you think. You got your character down pact?"

He nodded. "Yeah. That will do." he told him as he finished fixing up his cloths. He made sure that he had copied their guard uniform to the T. He had studied the way they worked while he was stalking them too. "This shouldn't be that hard. This should be taken care of by tonight." he said as he handed her a bunch of cloths. "Pick which you fit in perfectly and after we shall head down there." he said.
She nodded to them both. She really wasn't sure what this would be like but she would be able to deal with it. She went behind a few trees and changed her cloths. When she was finished she walked up to the both of them and smiled. She was ready.
They started to head towards her town. She kept her mind blank and she relaxed. As they got close they decided to separate. She hesitated as she got close. That's when she saw one of her friends. She decided to tag along with her all day. Things were really bad. Most of the time they had to avoid being close to the other men. They would try to get touchy and her friend was there to protect her this time at least. She was okay with it though. She would have never met those two other guys if that hadn't have happened. She kept an ear out and soon she started hearing roomers about the prince. She couldn't help her nervousness as it grew.
She was in the kitchen helping the cook out so that she wouldn't have to be around the men too much. When she saw the leader she couldn't help the shiver that ran over her body. She felt grouse with him just looking in her direction. How could someone be so evil and want to take everything away from a kingdom, including their freedoms. She could tell dinner wasn't going to be fun at all.

Archon made his way into the town as a peasant but held himself regally. He would need to get into the castle first and he wouldn't be allowed in for no reason. If he was going to be a prisoner he might as well do something to earn the title. He spotted one of the men he overheard bragging about his job of guarding the castle.
"Time to let my big mouth do some work," he muttered as he approached the guard without bowing.
"So I hear you're one of the guards at the castle. The military really must have gone down hill in the last few years. You look like an every day thug or crook more so than a royal knight. Those threads you wear look not much better than mine and it smells as if you've never heard of the word bathe."
The next moment a dagger was drawn and thrust towards Archon. He had left his sword behind so as to appear more like a normal peasant. Due to this fact he had to fight off the bandit bare-handed. With one simple move he broke the man's arm at the elbow and stole the blade from him. After he placed the dagger in his belt he kicked the man onto his ass into a pile of horse dung. He then punched the criminal in the face, knocking him unconscious just in time for more guards to show up including Alan. Archon couldn't help but smirk as the guards rushed him and he knocked away the first one, stole the second one's weapon and used it to fight off the others until there was just himself and Alan.
'You'll never take me alive imposter! You aren't the real royal guards but some thugs marauding as them. You don't even bother wearing proper armor!"
Alan and he began to fight, it soon becoming apparent which was more skilled with a sword. To make it more believable Archon acted as if tired from fighting off so many guards single-handedly before Alan could subdue him and begin taking him towards the castle.
Once inside, Alan took him to the throne room to leave it up to the "king" to judge Archon's fate.
"Your highness, this man has been fighting the guards and making a mockery out of your troops. What shall we do with him sire?"
Archon picked his head up to look defiantly at the bandit leader.
"Do your worst but we all here know that I am the royal prince of this kingdom and as such that throne is rightfully mine should anything have happened to my father."

The man was sitting in a relaxed position with his left leg over the arm of the thrown. He had a couple papers in his hands and a guard on his right side. He let the papers fall to the side as he looked out at one of his guards and this fool. "Well, you sure have a mouth on you don't you." he said as he let his leg fall off of the chair as he leaned forward. He shook his head as he stood up. When he heard about the king he couldn't help but to laugh. "All of you guys are the same. You think that you can beat me up and save the f**ker." he said as he took a step towards him. When he was close enough he shoved his foot into his stomach before he forced his head into the ground. "You will pay for what you did, and the f**king king of yours is where he belongs!" the man screamed before he stomped on Archon's head. "This is just f**king great! I am trying to plan another take over and now i have to deal with this!" he yelled out as he picked up a couple of his papers.
Alan slightly let him go giving him a little hint that he could attack the king while he was turned
Astrid had wondered into the cells and found what she was looking for, the king. He was huddled in the corner of a cell with his private mage with him. She just couldn't believe that he was still alive. She quickly ran over to him. "King! Your okay!" she said
He walked over and reached through the bars. "What are you doing down here? You will get hurt if they find you down here." he told her as he hugged her close.

Archon rushed forward and the guard rushed to deflect him. Archon was so pissed at the humiliation he had just suffered from this imposter that he simply drop kicked the guard in the face before continuing his rush toward the false king.
As he met with the king, the imposter drew a sword to protect himself but Archon caught him at the wrists to stop the swing. He then shoved a foot into the king's gut, knocking him back in his throne.
"Learn to use that thing first. Then swing it at me," Archon grumbled.
The king rose and rushed again, Archon dodging until he saw an opening and back flipped away from the king and in the process kicked the sword out of the liar's hands across the room. The assailant began to rush for the guard's spear but before he could pick it up Archon stepped on it and with his other foot, kicked the imposter in the face. When the burglar leader showed his face again his nose was definitely broken and bleeding as he spit out a tooth as well.
"I think I should beat you unconscious before I place you in the public stocks," Archon mumbled as he made his way over to the king who performed a leg sweep, knocking Archon on his side.
"You got cocky bratt. Guards!"
Archon rose to his feet again and rushed the king, veering to the right at the last moment before superman punching the cretin. He followed it up with a left before bashing the man's head off of the stone floor which knocked him unconscious just in time for reinforcements to arrive.
Archon smirked at Alan, knowing in order for him to keep his cover that Alan would have to fight him.
"Halt! As the Prince of the kingdom I declare that I have defeated your leader and I give you the option now to survive to plunder another day. Or fight me and perish. The choice is yours. Let it be known I am a fair ruler."
The guards let out a thunderous roar before charging. To lessen the number, Archon threw the wooden throne into their midst, knocking down a multitude of them before charging with his dagger and beginning to redecorate the throne room in red. In the midst of the fighting, he simply knocked Alan away repeatedly. Once the guard force was taken care of he made his way over to help Alan to his feet.
"If there's any others left throughout the castle you should hold me captive and escort me towards the dungeon."

Astrid couldn't believe how lucky she was that she was able to find her king in touch good condition. She kissed his hand before she stood up and ran down the hall to find the keys to open up the dungeon door. She took a left n stopped in her tracks when she saw a guards sitting at a table near one of the entrances. She took a deep breathe and smiled. "Sorry I have been trying to find my way out of here. I was asked to come down and give a meal to a prisoner down here." She explained as she moved towards the exit. She heard the seat scratch as the guard stood up.
"No need to run off. Why don't you hangout with me while I eat." He said as he pulled out the seat next to his. Her stomach started to do flips as took the few steps towards the seat. She folded her skirt down as she sat down n the guard pushed her closer to the table. "It's rather lonely down her with the only company is the convicts in here." He explained as he moved to his seat.

Alan did as was suggested and spun Archon around. He placed a dagger to Archon's throat as they slowly began making their way to the dungeon. After finding the entrance they did their best to act like they didn't notice Astrid spending time with the guard. To grab the guard's attention from the pretty face in the room Alan cleared his throat before speaking to the dungeon keeper.
"I've managed to apprehend the ne'er-do-well that was creating a disturbance in the throne room. Give me the keys to secure him in a cell til his execution."
Archon held back the smirk he could feel wanting to grow on his face for he knew it would give away the truth of the situation. Instead he kept his head facing the ground until Alan was prepared to lock him away.
When they made their way to the cell with the king in it Archon began to struggle so Alan would have to call for the guard for reinforcement. When the other guard got close enough Alan and Archon both shoved him in head first into the cell and pulled the king out simultaneously before locking the cell door again. The guard fell unconscious in the hay of the cell as the three reconvened.
"Archon took care of the false king and a bunch of his henchmen. Let's get you where you belong your highness."

Astrid heard the commotion and tried to hang back but the guard stood up suddenly and looked down at her. "You are with them, aren't you?" He questioned already knowing the answer. "And here I thought I would have someone to talk to for a while." He mentioned with a sigh before striking her. He thought that he had killed her. After kicking her a couple times he ran off. She laid there for a bit to scared to move. The last second she was able to dodge his attack so she was barely scratched. But his kicks weren't a party n not screaming when his foot met her flesh had been a miracle.
The king looked at his saviors with thanks as he stood up, his mage right next to him. Though. They had saved them he was still a little weary of there intentions. "Where is Astrid?" The king asked suddenly when he had realized that she hang returned with the keys to save them. He could feel bis stomach tightening as he feared the worst as he made his e mmHg way towards the exit.

When the king brought up about Astrid, Archon rushed back to see if she was alright. When he saw her on the ground he couldn't help but to growl.
"These low lives don't deserve any mercy. For even touching her I should skewer each of them."
He helped her to her feet as the king made his way to the exit.
"Where are you going your highness?"

Astrid stiffened as she heard the foot steps u til she felt the hands on her. She struggled until she realized who it was. She fought the tears as she hugged archon tightly. She didn't feel the pain and her fears and worries disappeared slowly. She ran over to the king when she let Archon go. "I'm so happy that you are okay my king." She wept as she felt his hand run through her hair like he often did when she was a young child. She was grateful that everything had worked out for the best. When she felt a slight nudge she let him go and watched him walk away from them.
The king froze in his foot step her he heard the question addressed to him. He took a deep breath but he was finding it hard to calm down. He wanted to destroy those who put his kingdom in harm's way but he knew he wasn't strong enough on his own. He wished so hard that he could keep those he loved out of harm's way but he knew it was impossible.
"We have to organize our selves. I will not just sit back n watch this happen. I don't care how we make them pay so long as they pay." He said as he turned his attention back to the group. "First we must fix things in the kingdom of course. Can I request you two to assist us?" He asked as he gave them a small smile. He knew they had done so much more then he could have asked for helping with the rescue of his great kingdom but he needed the help n wasn't afraid to beg if needed.

Archon and Alan both gave a bow. Not wanting to seem pushy or bossy though he would not answer for the mage. He replied to the king's question with a smile on his face.
"It would be an honor to assist you your highness," he responded.
Archon approached the royal and bowed once more before extending a hand to the man for a shake.
"Twould give me great pleasure to finish their group off before they devise a method of retaliation for their humiliating defeat today. No more innocents should be injured. Justice shall be swift and certain."
Then the two looked to Alan before the king spoke.
"And what say you comrade? Would you join us in our quest of protection and retaliation?"

Alan laughed low in his throat as he looked onward at the three. He could hardly contain the excitement that poured from his body. "Of course." he said as he folded his arms over his chest and took a deep breath to calm his breath. He let his arms fall to his side as the three started to discuss a couple of plans to get order back to the town. Astrid slowly started to relax. She looked around the dungeon and decided to look for any other members of the council or citizens were trapped. She found a couple butchers and a couple guards that managed to hold there own. She smiled as she helped each of them out of the cell. She directed them all towards the infirmary.
She looked back at the four men when she returned. There were cuts and bruises covering the three and they were acting like nothing bothered them. They were all so interested in what they were doing she guessed that they would probably stay down here all night if she didn't step in. She couldn't help but to kick back into her maid mode.
"While you guys talk about this why don't we head upstairs and get your wounds tended too." she said as she walked towards the group trying to heard them up the stairs. She of course wouldn't take no for an answer and lead the way up the stairs. She was glad that they were all okay. Mostly the king. He had taken such great care of her she couldn't help but to worry the most about him. The halls were dark as night started to settle on the town and that's when you could see a lot of the damage to the castle. Her heart ached as she walked down the halls as the other maids started to light the halls with torches. She hid her pain as she continued to lead the way. She would worry about this all later.
She opened the door for the four and the king walked in with his mage close behind. She felt the door get lighter all of a sudden as she felt a slight push on her lower back. She looked around her shoulder to see Alan standing there. "Go in." he instructed and she gave a slight pout as he basically pushed her in the room like she was a rag doll. She was trying really hard to take care of the group but Alan just always seemed to know what she was thinking and feeling. She pondered if maybe her facial expressions were the things giving her away as she walked into the room more. There was a long hall in the room leading to smaller rooms that would give privacy to the hurt people. She walked down the hall till she found a free room. "Here we go." she said as she waved the group in.
The kings mage gave the king a low bow before speaking up. "If its alright with you king I would like to tend to my family. Now that I know you are protected by these men I can rest easy." he stated as he with a small smile.
"Of course you can. I am sorry for keeping you so long. Thank you for your service." the king stated before the mage ran off. Alan sat in the seat giving the two small beds in the room to Archon and the king. He was fairly certain that the two would be more hurt the himself. But he couldn't get a good feel of Astrid. She seemed bother by something and he couldn't get a good feel on it. He figured it must be because of how exhausted his powers must be. "Astrid, let me give you a hand tending to the two." he offered and he just got a small wave.
"It would be my pleasure to tend to them. Just rest." she instructed with a stern look. He just smiled and leaned back letting his eyes slid close.
"If you wish." he said with a soft sigh.
"Okay, my king let me help you with your shirt." she instructed as she helped the king with his. She had to put on a strong face. The bruises and burns that covered his body made her want to flinch. "I'm sorry we couldn't get to you two any sooner...." she said softly as she started to clean a couple cuts that looked deep. There wasn't much that could be done for the burns except cleaning them and bandaging them. She wished that they had a healer in the town. He would be more help to the two then she could. His silver blood glistened in the fires bright light. She was always amazed at how the royals blood seemed to be such a pure looking color.
It took her a bit to get him cleaned up then turned her attention towards Archon. "May I help you with your wounds?" she asked not wanting to be pushy. It was hard though. She really wanted to make sure he didn't get really hurt because of what he had to do for their kingdom. Alan at this point was asleep so she laid on of the blankets over his body. When they were done she would wake him and bring him to a more comfortable room.
