The soft sound of whirling filled the the silent void that had taken over Adrian's bedroom in hell. The sound as coming from a fan that was on the roof, spinning around and around trying to attempt to cool down the room that the summer heat was making too warm to bare. Even though Hell was described as a place beneath the Earth's surface where it was boiling hot from the lava that surrounded it but really it was just an island in the middle of the ocean protected by a force that made it invisible to the human eye.
Laying there on his bed Adrian stared at the fan as it spun while be waited for his Master to come and tell him his next assignment. That hasn't taken long cause his door slammed open and standing there was a man that could've been mistaken as a woman. Long blond hair was pulled up in a playful mess while dark blue eyes looked Adrian's shirtless body over and grinned. "Well well, seems we're using our free time wisely," Aro said coldly as he moved towards the other and dropped a file on his bed beside him. "Go get me the soul Adrian, just a couple more and you'll gain your full freedom,"
"Yeah, yeah...." Adrian sat up and grabbed the file, Aro reached out to touch Adrian's bare chest only to feel fabric and he frowned. "Leave me alone Aro so I can get my work done," Standing he grabbed his leather jacket and with those final words he disappeared, reappearing on human soil as he looked through the file his Master had given him. "Damn pervert," He growled rubbing the area Aro had touched. Savanna sighed heavily as she brushed some strands of her brown hair out of her face. Her hazel eyes scanned over the work that she still had pilled on her desk. It was like a never ending shift that really seemed to be going on for days. It had of course only been sixteen hours. She was an artist that worked for the precinct, and when she didn’t have anyone to draw she acted like their secretary. She would organize their paper work, or clean up a mess that they had made. She was their slave really. She didn’t mind too much. She at least got to do something she truthfully loved and that was to help others with her artistic skill.
She placed the paper work that she had been working on down on the table. “Okay this is ridicules. I’m finished for the day. They can finish any work if they really need it. Sixteen hours is good enough for me.” She said as she grabbed her purse and slipped it on her right shoulder. She dug around till she located her keys and walked out of the room. She looked around as she walked to the front door. Most of the cops had already left by eight and it was well into ten at night now. She shook her head sadly. She really had no life, or family, for that matter. Her parents had died about three years ago in a car accident. She had been the person to catch the guy too. That’s why she had decided to start to be a sketch artist for the cops.
She walked out of the precinct and down the street to where her car was parked. She unlocked it and got in then quickly relocked the doors. She had a hard time trusting people wouldn’t try to steel her car on her while she was trying to leave. She turned the engine on and drove an hour and a half home. She pulled into two Porter Avenue and turned the engine off. She stepped out of the car and made her way over to the door stopping at the mail box on her way. She couldn’t believe she had gotten home at eleven again tonight. She shook her head as she unlocked her door and walked in.
She threw her keys on the table next to the door and then set her purse on the chair. She hung her coat and then made her way to her bed room where she started to get ready to go to bed. She planned to go into work around twelve tomorrow. She didn’t feel like waking up at eight tomorrow. Adrian had found the woman rather easily after having located her house after a few hours of playing around before he decided to actually get to work. Standing down the street as he watched her pull into the drive and then to her house he grinned and moved to walk towards her.
Waiting till she was inside he moved to ring the door bell, looking down at a piece of paper that had an address written on it but it was one that was down the street that was up for rent just the numbers wrote badly to look like hers. He'd never done this trick before but he figured it would at least start a conversation between them and maybe gain him a few points looking like a victim to someone else's mistake. Savanna’s head went up when she heard the door bell. “Who is here at this time of night.” She walked over to her closet and quickly grabbed her robe to hide the fact she was in her pajamas. She slipped it on as she walked out of her bathroom and down the hall towards the door. After checking the way her hair looked she unlocked the front door and swung it open to see a tall black haired man standing there.
“Hello, can I help you with something?” she asked slightly confused on why the hell this man was bothering her at this hour of night. She felt as if something was off about this man but couldn’t figure it out. Not to mention the fact that he was drop dead gorgeous. That only rubbed in the fact that she was single and had no love life. She pushed the thoughts out of her mind as she waited to see what the man wanted. And no way in hell was she inviting him in. That only screamed serial killer. Adrian stood there and stared at Savanna for a moment, it had been a while since he'd actually seen a woman. Other than his fellow demons and well as attractive as they were they were cold and cruel unlike humans which were warm and not as painfully cruel.
"Oh, uh.....yeah, I'm suppose to be coming to look at a house and I do believe I have the wrong address.....that is unless your name happens to be Mark and then I feel terribly sorry for you," He said as he held up the sheet of paper with the address and time on it. "I work late so this was the only time I could come and look at it, I'm really sorry to have disturbed you," He ran a hand through his hair. "Umm, you have a phone I could use to maybe double check the address, I think my friend wrote down the wrong one, then again I can't read his writing worth crap," Savanna shook her head. "No I don't believe I'm Mark." she said before she looked at the paper work he had. She shrugged but still didn't trust the man."This is meant with no offense but its late, I'm tired, and I don't let strangers in my house. Just wait a second and I will get my phone." she said as she closed the door with out a second thought and then went down the hall and got her land line. She walked back to the door and opened it again. "Here you go." she said as she smiled at him. She knew that had to have been completely rude but it was rather strand for the man not to have a cellphone this day and age. Even ten year olds had one now. It was ridiculous.
She stood there and hoped that this wouldn't take much longer. She really needed to head to bed. "Thank you so much," Adrian said when she returned, not seeming to have minded that she had left him out side and just smiled with understanding. Taking the phone he dialed a number and called it and someone actually answered. "Hi, Mark, this is Adrian, I talked to you earlier today after my friend told me about your place for rent.....yeah yeah, I got the paper work just....I think I was given the wrong address," There was silence for a moment and Adrian frowned. "No, I'm not calling on my cell, my cell is currently in the sewers where I dropped it earlier after being clipped by a bike messenger," He replied to whatever was being said to him. "Okay, thanks, I'll be there in five,"
He hung up and handed her back her phone. "Ummm, sorry again and thank you for letting me use your phone," He smiled at her. "I'll let you be now that this has been cleared up, I'm really sorry I disturbed you, I know it's late I'll be heading out now," He told her before giving a slight bow of his head and turning to leave then turned back slightly. "Maybe I'll see you around, the place I'm looking at is a block down.....I could maybe take you out for lunch sometime for kind of saving me, I'm Adrian by the way, Adrian Salvitar," He smiled again, this time it didn't seem as pushed as the others because a dimple formed on his right cheek. She nodded as she took the phone back Yes I will get to sleep soon sooooo tired she thought to herself as she smiled a bit. "Your welcome. Glad I could help you get to where you need to go." she told him as she set her hand on the door nob on her side and locked it. She smiled more when she noticed his smile this time wasn't forced. "My name is Savanna Yakito. I am a busy women with a lot of things on my plat. I would have to look at my scheduled." she said even though she knew she had absolutely nothing but work to do any day of the week.
She waited till he had walked away before she closed the door and made sure the door was locked before she walked back into her bed room. She took the robe off and set it on a chair before she turned off the lights in the hallway, her bathroom and then finally her room before she climbed into bed. "Ahhhhh warm." she said as she snuggled into the blankets and sighed. It didn't take her long before she was out like a light. Adrian couldn't help but smile as he made his way to the house he was forced to live in for his time being here but at the same time he didn't mind. Dealing with the landlord hadn't taken long and suddenly filling the house with furniture wasn't hard either. With a snap of his fingers it was filled with leather livingroom furniture, a king sized bed and everything else he'd need to seem human.
Giving a sigh he looked out his window and with a blink of his eyes he was in Savanna's room looking over her as she slept. "This is going to be alot harder than I thought," He said to himself but he knew she wouldn't hear him, not in the form he had taken having left his body in his home. "You're a tough one I'll say Miss. Yakito, but don't worry, you're not the first one I had to break," With a brush of ghostly fingers through her hair he returned back to his body in hopes that tomorrow when he got up to go for a 'jog' he'd run into her on her way to work. Savanna woke up around nine in the morning with a grumble she slowly stood up and made her way over to her bathroom. She was not much of a morning person and the fact that she had been up a lot later then she had planned didn't help her mood. She slipped out of her cloths as she turned on the shower. She stepped in and used the cold water to wake her up. If she didn't she would be very grouchy the rest of the day. After her cold shower she put on her bathrobe and walked out to the kitchen as she started to make her coffee. She glared at the phone angrily as it started to ring.
"Who the hell is bothering me at this time..." she growled as she picked up the phone and accepted the call. "Yes, hello." she said and as soon as she heard the voice she knew today was going to suck. It was the Chief.
"Sorry to call you so early Sav, but there's a case that we need your help on. I was wondering if you could come in as soon as you could. I wouldn't have called if it wasn't urgent. I know you hate being bothered in the morning." he said
"Fine sure, what ever." she said as she clicked the phone closed and set it down on the table. While the coffee was brewing she went back to her room and got dressed. She looked in the mirror as she brushed her hair and put on her makeup. When she was finished so was her coffee. She poured the coffee into one of her giant to go mugs that she keeps around for times like these. After cleaning up the mess she made in the kitchen she headed for her car. "What else is going to happen today." she said as she locked her front door. "Hopefully nothing too unpleasant I hope," Adrian's voice came from down the drive where he stood in sweats and a t-shirt, sweat running off his face from having ran around the block a few times. "Good morning by the way," He smiled, that single dimple revealing itself as he gave a bit of a wave. "Sorry about last night and thanks again for letting me use your phone, you really saved me," He brushed a hand through his dark hair, his almost as dark eyes sparkling in the sunlight as he looked towards it. "Thanks to you I got the place and was able to get some of my stuff moved already out of my old place," He looked back at her. "And please don't think I'm a stalker, I was just going for a morning run when I noticed you coming out," He said hoping she wouldn't think he was weird for being there. Adrian chuckled a bit, the sound coming from somewhere deep in his chest and that dimpled smile formed again. "Well, I'm sure things'll eventually get not so busy for you, I mean there's at least the holidays right? Though I heard you work with the police from Mark last night after you helped me and they work all year round? Feel sorry for you but hope things lighten up a bit," He told her before he looked at his own watch. "Crap, I got to go too, I'll hopefully see you around and maybe that meal for helping me too," He moved up the drive and dug around in his pockets till he pulled out his wallet and pulled something from it. Handing her a card he smiled. "Give me a call whenever you're free," On the card was a design that ran around the edges and within it was his contact information and his occupation. Web Designer and art dealer. "I'm home most of the time, though I'm openning a gallery here soon hopefully so once it's ready maybe come on by, see if there's anything you like," Savanna accepted the card and slipped into her pocket. “Yeah, if I get a moment I will look and see when we’re able to hangout.” She told him as she opened the door to her car. She sat down in the driver seat and she pulled the door closed. She brushed some hair out of her face as she stuck the key into the ignition. She twisted it as she watched him walk off. She pulled her seat belt to the right and clicked it in before she put the car into reverse. She turned her body and looked both ways before backing out into the street.
It took her fifteen minutes to get to work. She pulled into her designated spot and turned her car off. She put her keys in her purse as she stepped out of her car. She clicked the switch on the door locking the car before she closed the door. She pulled the handle making sure it was locked before she started to head in. She walked in the front door and it was busy as usual. She wasn’t sure why no one wanted to break a crime at midnight. She laughed to herself as she walked back and to her desk. She put her things down and then went back to the chief.
“Glad to see you’re here.” He said and soon she was to work. This woman had been raped like a bunch of similar cases and she had actually seen the man. So that’s where Savanna came in handy.
Adrian knew that there was a problem now, the woman was always busy and by the looks of things he wasn't gonna be getting too involved with her. "Shit," He growled, standing behind her at her desk in that ghostly form he took the night before to check on her in. Though he was invisible to most people there were the few that could see him, much like those that could see ghosts.
Moving around to look at the person that the woman who had been raped described he grinned slowly. "Bet I can find him before your co-workers do," He said softly, knowing she couldn't hear him but he couldn't help himself as he stared at her for a moment. Reaching out he brushed his fingers over her cheek, what was it about this woman that made him want to actually do his job and get to know her. By now he'd be at a bar drinking hard liquor and ignoring his orders for about a week or two before he got involved with his victim but Savanna was different.
Sighing he sat down beside the woman that had been attacked and listened to the details of her attacker and what had happened. Though Adrian was a Demon and one of Aro's best he couldn't understand the means of raping women like the others, even the Angels were just as bad in attacking women the moment they got to human soil. "Don't worry, he'll get what he deserves," He whispered into the woman's ear and she seemed to relax a bit. One of the gifts Demon's held was manipulation of emotions, thoughts or if you were lucky the way one was completely. Lucky Adrian he could do two out of three as he placed his hand on her shoulder and she relaxed some more, calmly telling Savanna now what her attacker looked like. "Good girl, you'll make both mine and her job easier now," He grinned, hoping that maybe if he helped Savanna's work go smoother that she'll eventually have time for him.
Looking across to the woman he was suppose to collect from he took in all of her features, every dip and curve of her face. The way the light brightened her eyes and hair that he wondered if it was really as soft as it looked. Though he could touch her in this form he couldn't really feel her and so he'd have to wait till he was close enough in his solid form to touch it. "Aye, this'll be a damn well busy day won't it," He groaned, an accent thickly lacing his voice now and he frowned. Adrian grinned as things finished up quicker than he was sure Savanna had expected and he moved to follow her to her office, watching her grab her purse he returned to his body where he had left it. In the back seat of his truck that he had parked in an alley not far from her work. "Well, that was an interesting trip," He said moving to get up and grab her file from the floor to see where it was that she usually went for lunch.
"Mmm, I am a bit hungry," Moving to get out he placed the file back on the floor and locked the truck up, making his way to the Pita Pit to be there before her to make it look like a coincidence running in to him instead of it happening on purpose. Make her come to him this time instead of him just showing up out of the blue. "Let's see if she notices me," He told himself before entering the building to get himself something to eat, find a table and wait for her to show up. Savanna thought for a second about driving there but didn't feel like dealing with the aggravation of finding a parking spot so she decided to talk a relaxing walk. She headed out and down the street and made her way to her favorite spot. She loved it. She walked in and made her way over to the counter where she ordered. She told them what she wanted and then walked down to where they made it. It was like subway but better. They made her blt pita and then went to go sit down and saw Adrian sitting there. It sooooo weird seeing him everywhere. Not like I'm complaining. Its just strange. she thought to herself as she made her way over to him after grabbing her drink.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" she asked as she pulled out a seat and sat down next to him. She smiled hoping not to show him how uneasy she was feeling.
Sitting there looking at the newspaper and partially paying attention to eating his pita Adrian looked up at her surprised. "Hey, I'm here getting lunch, heard it was a pretty good place to eat. What about you?" He asked with that dimpled smile as he set the newspaper down and closed it after folding in a corner to mark his place.
He knew she felt uneasy, he could feel it almost as much as see if in her smile as she sat down next to him. Knowing this he knew he'd have to back off a bit, make sure he didn't creep her out more than he already was. Savanna shrugged. "Taking a break from work." she said as she set her food down. She took a bit of it and finished chewing before talking. "Today has been a long day and its only around one." she said told him as she sat back in the seat and relaxed a bit. She watched him for a bit. She wasn't sure what to say next so she just finished off her sandwich before taking a sip of of her drink.
"I really don't want to go back to work...." she admitted as she hid her face in her hands. She was aggravated. Maybe she needed to take a vacation but where would she go? She did have some vacation time coming to her.
"Need a change of scenery for a bit?" He asked with a chuckle, crossing his legs and turning his full attention to her after eating the rest of his own sandwich. "I know how you feel, I used to work some place where all I did was work for hours on end so I quit and put my talents into basically freelancing myself out and opening my gallery as well," He said, smiling. "What do you do exactly anyways?" Savanna looked up at him. “Oh, I thought I told you.” She said as she pulled out her sketch book that she always carried around with her. “I’m a sketch artist for the cops. I wanted to find a way to help people and this was the only way I could think of doing it.” She told him as she flipped to a page with a picture of her mother. “Of course this isn’t a picture of one of those cases. This is a picture I drew of my mother before her passing.” She said with a small smile. Oh how she missed her mother. It was hard living without her there to get advice from but these things can’t be helped. At least she is safe and no one can hurt her anymore. “I’m not that great but the cops seem to find me useful.” She said.
The picture in front of them was a very detailed picture of her mother. From her slightly curled hair to a dimple she had on her cheeks. They eyes showed such emotion it was unbelievable. Savanna bit on the side of her cheek as she thought about the pictures and the improvements she could make on it even though it was so good. But its an artists job to find the flaws and make a perfect picture.
“So what do you have to do today?” she asked completely dismissing her art work. Since she did it everyday she didn’t do it too much in her free time since it was now work to her. But that didn’t mean she loved it any less. She was just grateful she was able to help people with her gift.
Adrian smiled as he looked down at the drawing. "She looks like a very loving woman, she almost makes me think of my own mother and...." He stopped talking as memories of his life as a human rushed through him and he sighed. "My Kim's no longer around either," He noted before pulling out a iPad and opened up a web design for a fundraiser. "Today I'm doing this, it's a fundraiser to raise money for childhood cancer, all the money goes to research and families that need it, this is one of those things I do for free,"
Though Adrian was in hell this was something he did in his spare time and all the money really did go to the charities he made the sites for. The web site was an advertisement to events in different cities and parts if the world where different companies donated food and items to be sold. Armature theatre groups would perform and people would get the chance to donate plus enjoy themselves with friends and family.
"This events happening in month in Paris, the site is up and it's running but I need to see who's bought tickets and mail them out and there's a few glitches I need to fix as well to make sure it runs smoothly but other than that that's all I'm doing today, tomorrow will be paid work for a local store in town here that's been looking for someone to help them with their website, plus I don't charge an arm an a leg like some designers,"
Savanna smiled. He seemed to be very interested in the work he was doing. It wasn’t very often that you saw that so it was nice. She relaxed into the chair as he listened to him about all the exciting things that he had to do and then some boring. “It sounds like you have a busy night tonight.” She said as she leaned forward and rested her elbow on the table and set her head on the palm of her hand. She wished that it would be more of an exciting day for her but after at least four more hours of organizing she was just going to go home and relax. She was thinking more and more about that vacation that she wanted to take but with the bills and other things she has that might not be an option.
“Well, I guess I should head back now.” She said as she leaned back against the chair and picked up her trash. “Maybe I will catch you later.” She said as she smiled back at him. She wondered if she should see if he wanted to hangout. But then she quickly moved that thought out of her mind. What am I thinking? He’s some strange guy that just moved in down the street. That’s how it should stay. She thought to herself before she turned and threw out the trash before going to say her final goodbyes to him.
"Don't work yourself too hard, as much as I'll be working on this I enjoy it so it doesn't make work too boring," Adrian smiled as he set down the iPad and looked at her. "Maybe if we get to know each other better and you want to get away from this place you could come with me to the fundraiser, I get two free tickets and plane tickets as well for me and a guest," He joked a bit as he moved to grab the newspaper. "I don't normally go to them because I'm busy but I might if I had someone to go with," He smiled at her. "But that's a month away so who knows how things'll be by then,"
Savanna nodded. “Yeah, that would be cool, well that’s if I’m not to busy with work and everything else.” She told him. “Well I will see you later.” She told him as she walked out. She walked up the street and back into the precinct. She walked and saw the man that had raped the women. She ignored him and went right into her office. She closed the door behind her and then set her purse on a chair before sitting behind the desk. She was just so tired of working here and being their part time slave.
She began to work again and soon it was around five in the afternoon. She watched as others began to leave. She cleaned up her mess then grabbed her purse. She wasn’t going to stay late tonight. She was going to go home and enjoy the movie she was waiting to watch for a week now. She walked out and down the hall. She made her way back to her car. She was so excited to watch the movie. She wished that she had someone to watch it with but all her friends were out on business for the month.
She hoped in and drove home. She made it home in no time at all and then got out. She locked her car then made her way over to the door. She froze when she noticed that her door was slightly opened. She backed away slowly and didn’t know what to do. She really didn’t want to go into the house by herself. She backed away and got back in her car. She panicked as she dialed 911. She told the operator what was going on and they said that they would send someone right away. This was when she wished that she had a dog or something, or someone, at her house to protect it. But she wasn’t much of an animal person and people didn’t seem to want to date her very long.
Adrian was just pulling up in his truck when he saw Savanna returning to hers and he noticed that the door to her home was open. Pulling up on the street across from her house he rushed over to her car, knocking on the window. "Hey you okay?" He asked, his tone showing his concern as he looked at her through the window and then to her house.
He tried his best to see if he could feel who had broken in but didn't get anything as he frowned. He could usually sense something but couldn't, he'd have to call in a favor if the police couldn't figure out who did this and the person that did would pay for interferring, then again this did give him a chance to be her hero maybe. Savanna jumped out of her skin when she heard the knocking on her window. Her hand rested on her chest as she unlocked the door before she stepped out of her car. "Oh, I'm so scared. I hope nothing was stolen. I couldn't even bring myself to go in there." she said trying to hide a bit of how she felt. Her body was shaking slightly as her left hand rested on her right arm. She could hear the sirens going as the cops quickly drove to her house. The cop car came to a screatching stop before a tall black hair man walked out.
"Savanna, are you alright?" he as worriedly
"Yeah, I didn't go in. I was just watching from over here." she told him before he moved to the front door and began to explore the inside. He came back empty handed.
"Well who ever it was is gone now. The guys will do a quick dusting and see if we cant find anything that will be useful. For now why don't you go out to eat and when you come back we will have this all finished." he told her.
Savanna was trying to be strong but she could feel she was close to her breaking point. She nodded and walked away from the guys who started to look through her house. She wasn't sure what she was going to do. She couldn't even think straight at that point.
Adrian watched the humans, though he had once been one himself it was still odd seeing things like this even though he had grown along this ever changing world for as long as he could remember. Moving to follow Savanna he gently touched her arm, using his powers to slightly calm her. "Hey, how about I take you out to eat? Or you can come over to my place, it's just down the block, you can tell your friends here where you're going if you don't feel comfortable going anywhere with me but I think it's better than you being alone right now," He said softly, trying to show concern as he spoke to her. "That's if you want to, the offers open for as long as you want, even if I leave and you change your mind you can just come knock on my door okay?"
As Adrian touched her arm she felt this unusual sense of calm rush over. She slowly relaxed and leaned against her car. She really didn’t want to stay at her house right now. She didn’t know if the person would come back or not. But at the same time she really didn’t want to impose on him either. A soft sigh passed her lips as she looked up at him. “Right now I want to clean up my house.” She admitted to him as she smiled. She didn’t want to worry him. “But I have your number if I need anything. If I need anyone I will call you.” She told him with a bit of a sad smile. She pushed off her car and softly touched his arm before she headed towards some of the cops.
They talked for a bit before they decided they were done. “We will have a cop pass every so often for the next few days just incase. Just let us know if you see anything missing.” The cop said as they got ready to leave. They left soon after that and Savanna got back in her house. She was filled with fear and worry but there was nothing she could do. She had to get her house cleaned up. She started on the hallway then made her way in. It was like the man was looking for something of hers and she wasn’t sure what.
She finished with most of the rooms before she noticed that one of her sketch books were sitting on floor upside down. She picked it up and saw that one of the pictures were ripped out. She looked at it confused. Why would someone break into her house to steal a picture that she had drawn? That just seemed silly. She went to her desk and got out her book. She kept notes on all the pictures that she drew. She found the picture and it was one of the pictures she drew of a serial killer. Her heart stopped. Had he’d been the one that was in her house. She couldn’t think straight as she quickly grabbed her phone and the card Adrian had given her. Tears slipped down her cheeks as she started fear the worst. Her shaky hands dialed the numbers and she let it dial. She waited till she heard his voice then asked him to come over before she hung up the phone and backed into the corner of the room she was in. She was to scared to move into any other room. What if the cops had missed the man and he was upstairs in her room waiting for her. Horrible scenes started to play through her mind as she waited for him to come running through the door.
Adrian hadn't gone very far, he had pulled his truck into his own drive way and sat there until she had called him and he rushed back over. Knocking on her door he entered after a moment and looked around for her, going to her instantly and gently touching her arm. "What's wrong?" He asked softly, feeling how uneasy she was and tried his best to calm her again. "Anything you need me to do? Maybe go look around again? I'm sure whoever it is isn't here anymore but I can look again," He offered knowing that even if the man was here he could take him, even in his human life he could've probably taken whoever it is, he was a warrior and almost always would be.
Savanna looked up at him as soon as he walked in. She could barley think or do anything at this point. She felt his hand slip on her arm and she couldn't stop herself from leaning forward and wrapping her arms around him. She rested her head on his shoulder as she clung to him. She just needed a good cry to calm down. She slowly calmed down with his help. All she wanted to do that night was watch a movie and maybe eat some ice cream.
Now she was scared in the one place she was supposed to be okay in. She slowly stepped away from him and wiped her eyes. "S-sorry about that." she said to him as she rubbed at her eyes. "I-I don't think I can stay her tonight." she told him as she leaned back against the wall. "I'm scared the man will come back." she admitted to him.
"It's okay," Adrian smiled reassuringly to her to let her know that it didn't bother him at all that she had used him to try and calm herself down. "And there's a few options for that. One, I could stay here with you if you want, I don't think he'll come back if you have someone here with you. Two, you can come stay at my place, you can have my bed, I'll sleep on the sofa bed in the livingroom. Three, you get a hotel but I don't think you really want to be alone," Reaching out he cupped her face in his hands and dried it with his hands, that soft smile on his face. "I'd take option two if I was you, my bed is like sleeping on a cloud or so I've been told and I cook a really great breakfast," He said trying to make her feel a bit better and possibly smile even just a bit. "Oh and you can meet Bonnie and Clyde, I think you'll like them and I know they'll like you, they like everyone," Savanna nodded. She didn't want to impose but she really didn't want to stay by herself. "Okay." she said as she walked into her room. She gathered some of her cloths and walked back into the room he was waiting in. "I will stay at your house for the night. I just, don't want to impose." she told him as she looked down blushing slightly. She had a small bag with a change of cloths, and a few other things that she wold need including her art book. She didn't want to leave it laying around. She looked up at him when he mentioned some names. "Who are they?" she asked him.
Adrian shook his head. "You're not imposing at all and as for who they are, it's more what they are," He smiled and moved to go open the front door for her. "They're my cats and if anything'll make you feel better it'll be those two and the amount of love they'll give you. I warn you now though, they're above the average house cat size so if they become too much let me know and I'll make sure they leave you alone,"
She nodded as she walked out the front door and even though she knew it was useless she locked the front door and smiled up at him. She didn't want to lead only because of the fact it was his house. She smiled at the word cats. She loved animals and cats were her favorite. She couldn't wait to meet them. She hoped they would be somewhat like her cat she had when she was young. Cute, adorable, and would sleep either by her head or her feet. That's what she missed most about her cat Mandy. The cat was blind in one eye and deaf. She was cute, and adorable. The only problem was when she got off balance she would fall to her side and scratch Savanna as she fell off the bed.

Adrian led the way to his place, moving to unlock the door there was already the sound of something coming rushing towards the door the moment he put the key in. "Uh....I'd stand back a bit," He warned as he moved to open the dooor and as he stepped inside he had only a moment to catch two medium dog sized cats in his arms as they jumped to tackle him to the floor but instead knocked him back into the wall. Meowing the two larger than average cats licked at his face and nuzzled him purring as they greeted him home. Both were big, fluffy and the color of a snow leopard with tails that were long and curled together as they hung onto his arms as he held onto them. "Okay, okay, I get the picture, you missed me, now allow me to let out guest in," Those words made them both stop and look instantly to Savanna and excitedly they moved to climb off of him and go to her. "Don't jump up you guys, wait till she's inside and sitting before you attack," He frowned, grabbing their collars to pull them back. "Sorry, they act more like dogs than cats," He said as he moved inside with them. "Come on, let's get you guys some food," This gained and arm pulling contest for the kitchen that caused Adrian almost to fall over before he let go of their collars. Savanna giggled softly as she watched the cats with their master. She was happy to see their size. He would never have to worry about someone getting in his house. She walked into the house when the cats moved and then she shut the door behind her. She set her bags down on the floor next to the front door before she followed them into the kitchen. The cats were so cute. They were like little children that wanted their fathers attention. She was a bit more relaxed seeing the cats there. She wouldn't have to worry about hearing them. She yawned softly as she rubbed at her eyes. She leaned back against the wall as she watched him feed the cats. She smiled as she waited he was finished.
"I'm sorry, I'm really tired. Is it alright if I head to bed?" she asked him blushing a bit. Adrian looked up from dishing the food out onto the plates and smiled at her. "Sure thing, I'll show you where my room is," He said, the cats rubbing agianst his legs and purring loudly. Only moving away long enough for him to set their food on the ground before they nearly knocked him to get to it. "Geeze you guys," He chuckled and went to Savanna. "Follow me," He smiled, going up the stairs and leading her to the room at the end of the hall and openning the door to reveal the black furniture that filled it, his bed taking up most of the room covered in matching black sheets. "The bathroom's across the hall, use whatever you like, I have spare toothbrushes in the bottom drawer and all the bath stuff is in the cupboard so please remember to put it back there or Bonnie and Clyde'll decide to play with the bottles and burst them open. And trust me, cleaning up shampoo and body wash is not fun," He joked a bit. "Towels are in the hall closet, other than that, I'll be down stairs if you need me,"
She went back to the front door before she followed him upstairs. She looked around his room and smiled. It was a nice cozy room. She liked it. She nodded and smiled at him. "Thank you so much for this." she said as she placed her bag down on the bed. She waved at him. She looked back at him. "I will see you tomorrow morning then." she told him as she closed the door. She slipped out of her shirt and pants then slipped into the pajamas that she brought with her. She opened the door in case the cats were used to sleeping in his room and turned the light off. She took out her laptop and set it on the bed. She plugged it in and flipped it opened. She pressed the on button then put her hair up in a pony tail. She crawled onto the bed and settled in the middle of the bed. She pulled the blanket around her as she put on netflix. She put on some family guy and closed her eyes. She slowly fell to sleep. He was right. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Leaving her in his room, Adrian went downstairs to the living=room after saying goodnight. Even down there he could hear the soft sounds of the show she seemed to be watching and he chuckled some. "Well, maybe next time," He said softly, moving to the kitchen where Bonnie and Clyde had just finished eating. "Bonnie, go sleep with Savanna tonight will you please," He said opening the fridge to get something to drink. "Clyde can't come with me?" A female voice came from the female of the two creatures, it was childlike but there was the unlining tone of a deeper female voice as well. "Don't be such a baby, just go watch over her," Clyde growled in the same kind of voices but male. "Shut up Clyde," Bonnie growled back and before they could jump at each other they were picked up off the ground and if their fur could turn whiter than it was it probably would as they looked at their Master and the way his eyes had turned completely black with the iris of his eyes a reddish glow. "If you two start fighting you'll sleep outside," His own voice came out deeper than it was and he put them down. "Bonnie, go to bed," He ordered and without another word Bonnie took off upstairs while Clyde followed Adrian to the living-room to sleep on the sofa bed with him. "Are you going to tell us what happened to have you bring her here?" Clyde asked, watching as Adrian folded out the sofa bed and then remove only his shirt as he climbed onto the bed. "No," Adrian replied not normal again. "I'll have to call in one of the dogs though....that's all you need to know," He mumbled softly, his eyes closing and he sighed, feeling Clyde join him on the sofa bed and curl up against his side. "Okay......Goodnight Master," Clyde replied and Adrian was silent, having fallen asleep the moment the cat like creature joined him. Savanna grounded slightly as she slowly started to wake up. The feel of the sheets on the bed felt different then it was supposed to. She didn't know what was up with the sheets. She slowly opened her eyes to see one of Adrian's cats sleeping on the bed next to her. She lifted her hand and softly pet that cat between the ears as she turned off her side and laid on her back. She looked over at the cat and continued to pet the cat. "I'm not sure what I did for this to happen." she told the cat as she turned back on her side as she sighed softly. "I just do my job then go home. I’m not sure why this picture of this serial killer was taken from my art book." she said as she let her eyes close. "I wish things were back to normal. But it is nice to meet you. You're such a cute little kitty." Savanna said with a happy smile. "I wonder what today is going to be like." she said as she slowly sat up and rubbed at her eyes.
She ran her fingers through her hair fixing it up a bit. It looked really bad. Her hair was all over the place. When she was finished she gave the cat a little kiss before she went over to her bag. She dug through it and found her brush and tooth brush. She walked into the bathroom and brushed her hair making it more presentable till she went to take a shower. She put some tooth paste on the brush and brushed her teeth. When she was finished she went back out to the bed and smiled at the cat. "Do you think your master will be awake?" she asked the cat not really expecting an answer. She didn't want to go down to early since it was only around nine in the morning, so she got back in bed and grabbed her bag. She started to draw out the cat that was lying on the bed.
Bonnie purred loudly as Savanna petted her, she wanted dearly to speak to the human but she knew if she did it would cause alot of problems for Adrian so she kept silent other than letting out a few soft meows to show she was listening. Watching the human closely she almost seemed like she had smiled, stretching out on the bed slightly before returning to the position she was in before as Savanna drew her. That was till the sound of footsteps coming up the stairs made her lift her head and the door nudged open to show Clyde who sat there, watching them.
There was a sound of movement from down stairs before a groan sounded and a soft curse as Adrian moved to sit up and smacked his knee against the table. "Clyde," He called softly. "Get back down here and don't wake up our guest," He sighed, as he got up to go to the kitchen and started a pot of coffee and Clyde turned and booked it back downstairs. Bonnie's ears stood up on end and she looked to Savanna then the door before going back to the position she was in as Savanna drew her, obviously enjoying the attention. Savanna laughed softly as she heard him curse. She leaned forward and softly pet the cat again before she set the book on the ground. She had finished the picture already. The cat was standing on a rock. The trees weren't fully finished but the cat and the rock mound was. She got off the bed and made sure she looked alright before she opened the door fully and walked out. She turned back to the cat and then left it open for her before she walked down the stairs.
She peeked her head over the side and looked out to the kitchen to see him working. She took the last few steps and walked down the hall into the kitchen. "Good morning." she said to him as she stopped in the door way. She smelt the coffee and her stomach growled. She blushed deeply and smiled. "I guess I'm hungry." she said with a small laugh. Adrian heard Savanna coming down the stairs and he smiled, grabbing another cup from the counter. "Well now that I know you're awake I'll start cooking," He said turning around to face her, still topless and revealing to her a tattoo that came up his left side from beneath his pants. "I'm sure you'll be having some coffee, cream or sugar, maybe both?" He asked as he began pulling out frying pans and setting them on the stove so he could start making breakfast. The fact he was topless didn’t register for Savanna till he turned around. She looked away slightly as she walked into the room more. She walked over to the coffee mug that he had filled with coffee for her and picked it up. “Black is good for me.” She said as she took the mug over to the table. She pushed one of the chairs out with her foot and she sat down with one of her legs crossed under the under. She blew softly on it before she took a sip. She felt it warm her body and she sighed happily. It felt good.
She set the cup down then stood up. “I will be right back.” She told him as she turned towards the hall and walked away. She walked up stairs and back into his bed room. She crawled over to her sketching book and pencils. She picked them up then returned back to the kitchen. She sat back down with a huge smile on. “I always love to draw with my cup of coffee. I don’t get one very often. Never seem to have time for one.” She said with a soft giggle.
When she was younger she used to draw when her father drank coffee and since then, every time she got some coffee, she would get the urge to draw him like she used to. But now since he was gone, she could only draw those around her. She looked up at Adrian and smiled. She pulled her knees close and set her feet on the edge of the chair as she started to sketch him out. "You should really take a moment to have one, even if it means being five minutes late to work once in a while it's better than over stressing yourself," Adrian said as he pulled a variety of food from the fridge and started to cook. Bonnie and Clyde rubbing against his legs as he tried to manuver around them. "Okay you guys, go lay down before I accidently step on you, you'll get to eat when I'm done cooking," He ordered and they went over to Savanna and laid down around the legs of the chair, both letting out dramatic sighs and glared at Adrian.
"I swear you two are worse than children," He chuckled, turning his attention back to cooking. It was odd for him, standing here in his kitchen with the person he was suppose to be trying to get their soul from and not doing anything remotely close to getting it. Instead he was acting, well, normal. Also human even. This made him pause for a moment as he thought about his days as a human before he became what he was right now and he sighed a bit. He really missed being human.
Getting back to cooking it didn't take him long before he had a large plate filled with bacon, sausage and a few slices of ham. Looking at Savanna he smiled. "How do you like your eggs?" He asked while mixing up some pancakes, it was plain to see that this man cooked like he was about to feed an army almost. But if anyone knew the truth it was because as a human Adrian was a warrior and ate more than what he was cooking right now while training for war. That and as a demon he needed his strength to keep his powers going and food was the best option other than human blood and he wasn't about to go vampire on anyone anytime soon.
Savanna laughed a bit as she looked down at the cats by her feet. It felt like they were people just in cat’s body. She leaned down and softly pet the both of them. “You two are too funny.” She said as she looked back at the drawing she was working on. She for some reason felt like he had to have a sword in his hand, like he was fighting against someone, or maybe protecting someone. She wasn’t sure. She had his hair held back and in his picture he wore what he would normally wear when he was in hell (Not sure what he wears XD). In the background she had flames and all these other dark shadows around him.
Her head lifted up when she smelt the food cooking. She sighed happily. When was the last time she actually had a real home cooked meal. Ages it felt like. Most of the stuff she ate at home was just easy things, like sandwiches. She didn’t feel like she had to waist the time to cook for just herself. “That smells great.” She commented. “And I take my eggs scrambled. I don’t like watery eggs.” She told him as she finished up the last few details on the background. She hid the picture not wanting him to see it. She didn’t think he would enjoy the way that she had drawn him. A lot of people usually didn’t. She just had this feeling, like maybe it was a past life, and that’s just the way that he/she would have looked.
She flipped to a new page. “Well, I think I will call in a sick day. I don’t feel up to being their secretary today. I’m too tired to deal with the cops today.” She told him as she set the book down as she waited for him to finish cooking. She told herself to help out that she would clean the dishes and anything else that needed work, since she had staid the night. She just wasn’t sure if she wanted to go home just yet. [Lol Well he's from Accient Greece so I'm sure a loin cloth or robes is what he'd wear or just jeans. xD]
Adrian nodded and mixed up a bunch of eggs to be scrambled, glancing back at her as she hid the picture and he chuckled. "Well if you need to use the phone it's on the wall-" He motioned to it as he continued to cook. "I think taking a day off would be good, after what happened don't think I'd want to go into work either," He said as he finished up a few pancakes and moved to set the plate of them and breakfast meats on the table, then returned to finish the eggs.
It didn't take long before he was setting a bowl of scrambled eggs on the table and handing her a plate and silverware before joining her. "So what did you draw?" He asked curiously, motioning to the food for her to dish out first though he took two slices of ham and tossed them to Bonnie and Clyde who picked them up and left the room to eat them. Savanna looked at the food and smiled. “Its like your feeding a small army.” She commented as she took two pancakes and some eggs. She poured syrup on the pancakes and eggs then took a piece of ham. She loved ham. She munched on the ham as her not sticky hand fell on her art book and she pushed it behind her on the set so it wouldn’t get dirty. “Nothing much. I drew a picture of your cat and some other things.” She told him trying to be as vague and as specific as he could be without telling him what it really was.
She finished off the ham she had taken and the pancakes and slowly finished the eggs trying to finish off the eggs without over eating and upsetting her stomach. When she was done with her food she picked up her dishes and set them in the sink. “I’m going to use my cell phone. I don’t want to deal with them asking me questions.” She told him before she left the room and went back up to her bag. She left her sketch book sitting on the seat completely forgetting about it.
She found her phone and noticed it had a low charge. “Will stick it on the charger when I’m done.” She told herself as she dialed the number. She waited till the chief picked up.
“Call off today?” he asked and she laughed.
“Yeah. I just need the day to myself to clean up my house and change the locks, maybe the doors completely.” She told him and she heard a soft chuckle.
“I didn’t expect you in today. Why don’t you take the week off and I will call you only if we need you to draw someone for us.” He told her and she nodded even though he couldn’t see it.
“Sounds great.” She told him. They hung up and she slowly made her way back down the steps. Adrian watched as Savanna left the room and he continued to eat, looking over at her book curiously but he knew he shouldn't look at it. "She drew you, you know," Bonnie said as she jumped up onto Savanna's seat and gently pawed at the book. "And not you as you are," The cat gave him a grin and he tried to ignore it, that was Savanna's personal property and he wasn't about to disturb it. "Yeah, she drew you how you really are......." Clyde snickered and got on the other side of the chair, the cats taking turns gently flipping the pages of the book. "You guys don't play with that," He growled at them but they just gave him a dull glare as they continued. "I'm not looking, you guys are brats and I'm not gonna be apart of this," He said, eating some more. He was sure when Savanna got back she was gonna be in shock that he actually ate everything that was on the table. "Hmmmm, I never knew this is how you looked when you were on that island, I mean she made you look more manly," Bonnie said as they got to the drawing of him. "I wonder what she really sees us as? I mean we're not exactly cats, we're imps more than anything. We just take on the form of cats while in this world," Clyde snickered again. "I want her to draw the real me, she's very talented," He then fell silent when he heard Savanna's foot steps. "Would you two leave her book alone!" Adrian snapped at them and they gave him a growl which he ignored the moment his eyes fell on the picture that laid in front of him. Bonnie gave him a hiss before jumping off the chair and storming out of the room with her nose up in the air as if to tell him to go screw himself while Clyde jumped up on the chair to look at the picture better. "Clyde, get down, now before you mess up her book,"
Savanna heard the cat hiss and got worried till she realized she forgot to put her phone on the charger. She walked up the few stairs she walked down and back into the room. She looked around till she found a plug and put her charger on. She put it in the phone then walked back down stairs. She walked into the kitchen to see one of the other cats, which she had forgotten his name, had her sketch book and it looked like the two were fighting over it. She chuckled softly as she walked more into the room and over to the two of them.
“You both can look at it if you would like. You don’t have to fight over it.” She told them as she pet the cat. “But I don’t believe cats are supposed to be on the chairs though.” She said as she picked the cat up and put him on the floor. “I, Um, half didn’t want you to see it because people always get mad at me when I draw them saying it looks nothing like them or they would never wear what I put them in so yeah.” She said as she blushed a bit. “But it’s alright if you want to take a look through the book.” She said as she picked up the sketch book and handed it to him.
“I just get these images when I look at people and sometimes I really have to draw them. Like when I look at your cats. It feels to me like their people from the images I get. I know its silly.” She said as she sat down. “But I like it.” She informed him. Clyde huffed as she picked him up and set him on the floor and he rushed out to find Bonnie and Adrian laughed. "I don't mind really," He said as he wiped his hands off before taking the book from her and looked at the picture she drew of him. "I've been to a palm reader once before, want to know what she said?" He proceeded to continue even though she didn't reply. "You're a warrior at heart but you're dark inside, like a devil from hell. You've seen many a things in this world that you probably don't remember, one day you'll find someone that'll see you for what you really are. Child beware this person, for they'll change you from this cold hearted beast you are into something you once were before," He chuckled a bit and ran a finger along his face in the drawing. "Not saying you're that person but it's funny....how you can see me differently than what I've shown you so far,"
Staring at the picture it was almost as if there was a million different things going through his mind before he sighed and smiled at her. "I think it's a beautiful gift you have, maybe this is something from my past life that you see, much like the way you see Bonnie and Clyde as humans. Maybe they were once before," He handed her back the book. "I'd like to see you draw them how you see them, they'd probably like that very much, they're weird like that,"
She smiled as she listened to him. She tilted her head slightly to the side as her smile faded. She just had this feeling he was leaving something else out. He had this longing and sad expression on his face as he talked. She could see it. Even through the smile he was giving her. It was weird. Like he lost a piece of himself and he wanted it back but knew it was impossible. “That’s an interesting thing for her to say. I can see it. And thanks. I’m very nervous about this talent of mine because most people aren’t like you. I guess that’s how I’m able to draw the people that are described to me. I just see them in person because of the victim.” She said as she took the book as he handed it to her. “And maybe I will do that. They just need to be sitting next to me. But for now let’s talk about other things. Like the fact I can’t stay here the rest of my life.” She said with a soft laugh.
“I really do need to go home and clean it up. Maybe change the doors and locks to my house.” She told him with a soft sigh. “I think I may also invest in a guard maybe. Like your cats. Just, so that I have someone to go home to and protect it while I’m gone.” She said as she sighed into the chair a little more. “My boss gave me the week off to get myself together. He didn’t tell me they found anything but I have this suspicion that they might have an idea of who it was that broke into my house for that picture. But they’re not going to tell me. They don’t want to make me worry but this is just making me worry more.” She said as she sat the book in her lap and ruffled the soft curls of her hair. “I want things to go back to normal already.” She said as she looked up at him and smiled. “Sooooo anyway. Um, what are your plans for today?” she asked not wanting to seem like she only cared about herself. "Well I was going to work but it can wait till later," Adrian smiled and moved to get up once he finished the last of the food and set the dishes in the sink. "I think today will involve helping some young lady with cleaning and fixing up her house, I mean I have a truck that is perfect for moving stuff like doors and large dogs that are trained to guard houses," He told her in a bit of a teasing tone to kind of make it not sound as bad as it was. "Frick if you want you can borrow Bonnie and Clyde till you get something, they'll make sure nothing happens, they're basically dogs anyways," There was a sound and he chuckled, knowing it was them telling him they heard that.
"I mean I don't mind and I'm really good with tools and such, I could have your doors fixed in no time. Hmmm, I heard there's these really nice steel enforced doors out there now," He said thoughtfully and then smiled. "You could get a security system too, locks for the windows and what not, I know I'm probably thinking too far ahead but it's better to do it than to just think about it and regret not doing it later," He moved to sit back down across from her. "So what do you say? We can go to the hardware store and get the stuff and hey, you don't even have to pay me for it. It'll be my payback for the other day when you helped me out," Savanna couldn't help but to chuckle a bit. The way he was acting was adorable. Not to many people have actually treated her this kindly before so she really liked it. She was very grateful that he had happened into her life like this. but at the same time she knew that it wouldn't be anything but friends. It couldn't be. They both had two very different lives and it would complicate things if they tried to make it anymore then it was.
"Thank you so much for your kindness but I have some money saved up. I don't exactly go out every night partying and make good money with what I do. Not to mention the hours that I usually work." she said with a sad tone to it. It really was sad that all she had to look forward to in life was work. She just didn't have good luck when it came to relationships. Mostly because of her work. "But I wouldn't mind the company and I don't exactly know how to put on a door. Maybe you could help me with those things." she said as she rubbed the back of her head nervously. she didn't want to use him for his skills but she defiantly knew that she needed help with a lot of the maintenance things. "Use me for whatever you need, I'm very skilled with my hands," Adrian smiled though there was a teasing little hint in that smile that he was trying to get her to laugh again. He really like the sound of it and it was almost addictive listening to her speak. "We could maybe fix up a few other things while we're at it, I don't mind helping out, gives me something else to do," He moved to stand up. "I'm going to go shower and then after that we can go do the shopping," She smiled and laughed a bit. "That's cute." she told him as she brushed some of her hair behind her ear. "And okay. I will doodle a bit while I wait for you to get finished." she told him as she stood up and grabbed her book. She smiled more as she went on a search for the cats. When she found them she pet them both a little bit. "If you two don't mind I would love to draw you~." she told them as she sat down across from them. She started to work on the picture of the two cats while she waited for him to finish in the shower. Bonnie and Clyde looked up as she entered the livingroom and they purred loudly as she petted them. Clyde moved slightly on the chair that they were on and rested his head on top of Bonnie's with a soft meow, nuzzling into her and their tails moved to curl around each other making a heart. As soon as Savanna saw that she couldn't stop herself. She started drawing a picture. It was of two lovers. The man was a bit taller than the girl and he was looking down into her eyes with such love and happiness. The girl had her hands on his chest and she was looking up at him with love and sadness. It was like the two knew they couldn't be together but loved every second that they could spend with each other. She moved onto their cloths and then onto the background. They were standing in a dark forest with a full moon in the sky. She tilted her head as she worked on the girl’s hair and put the final details in her face. It was like she couldn't look away till she heard a sudden noise and was pulled out of it.
She blinked a bit and smiled at the two. "You two are so adorable like that!" she said as she moved closer to the two and softly pet them both. "It’s great to see such love like yours. Most people don't get the opportunity since they marry for money and statues then out of love." she sighed softly as her smile grew. "I could only hope to feel like that. But sadly with my line of work either people think I'm crazy or just avoid me cause I work with the cops." she said Bonnie and Clyde nuzzled her hands and then looked at each other as she spoke before they stood and moved to climb into her lap. Both purred loudly and nuzzled into her as they curled around her body before each laying down on either side, tails instantly curling around each other again. "They've been together since the day they were born," Adrian's voice interrupted from the doorway of the living-room where he stood drying his hair. "Of course different parents, just same pack I guess is what you'd call it," He moved towards them and Bonnie got up to nuzzle his out reached hand. "I couldn't bare with them being separated so I took them both in after an accident took their families from them, there's one other of their kind but he's on the other side of the world," "Aww, that's so sad. I hope they will get to see that other cat one day." she said as she hugged them both before standing. "I'm going to jump in the shower quick and then we can go." she told him before she smiled and then left the room. She went into this bed room and quickly stripped from her cloths and grabbed a towel and walked in the bathroom. She turned on the water and waited till it was nice and warm before getting in. She quickly washed her hair and body and turned the water off. She dried her body and wrapped her hair in a towel before she started to get dressed. When she was finished she let her hair out of the towel and brushed it. She picked up her things then returned it to the bag she had gotten it from. She picked up her things then went down stairs. "Okay~ finished." she said with a bit of a laugh. She hoped she hadn't taken too long. Adrian looked up from where he was on the floor trying to do up his boots while Bonnie and Clyde decided to play with the laces and jump all over him. "Okay, give me a moment and we can get out of here," He turned his attention back to his boots, shooing the two away who just stalked off not happy that they had to stop playing with him. "When I get home we can play some more," He told them as he grabbed his truck keys. "Maybe I'll even bring you guys some treats," “Okay.” She told him as she waited. She wasn’t sure what she was going to need to buy. She sighed softly as she leaned against the wall. She knew she wanted a new door with a lock. Then she also wanted to get a dead bolt lock. She had a habit of biting on her check when she was thinking. She looked over at the cat and smiled. They were being cute. She loved the way cats acted around string type things. She looked through her purse and located her wallet. She opened it and then made sure she had her debt card. She wanted to make sure she would have the money that she needed. She waited patiently for him. Her shoes were already on. "Come on, lets go get you your stuff, fix up your house and then come back here and play with Bonnie and Clyde-" He stopped for a moment on the way to the door and turned to look at them. "Don't even think about scratching the furniture while I'm gone or I'll ground you both," He said and then went to open the door for her.
Savanna smiled and chuckled at the threat before walking out the door. She smiled and waited for him. Before they left she made sure she had all the things she would need. It took about fifteen minutes before they arrived. She hopped out of the car and waited for him before heading in. She walked down isle after isle till she found what she was looking for. She got two new doors, door handles, dead bolt locks, and a snapple. She was thirsty. She turned to him before she got ready to check out. "Was there anything you needed to get before we left?" she asked him. Adrien shook his head and smiled at her. "Nope, nothing really that I need here, though I'll probably come back later to get some paint for my place but I'll need permission first," He said as he followed her around the store, looking at all the different things that there was. After a few more runs down the isle she was finished. She walked down to the checkout lain and made sure that she paid for everything. She wouldn't feel right if she let him pay for things that she needed for her house. It took less then fifteen minutes to get back to her house. When they got there she got to work. First she cleaned up the house, not that it was day time she wasn't to worried about someone hiding in her closet. She finished with that in less then two hours then got to work on taking the doors off. It was the lest she knew how to do.
"Thank you again for your help." she told him as she set the door on the side of the house. "I will let you take care of that while I get the back door off and fix us something to eat. I'm sure your just as hungry as I am. Its the least I can do for you making me breakfast." she said with a happy smile as she made sure the door wouldn't move then went through the house to the back door. She opened it then stopped. she looked down and froze for a second before regaining herself. She saw two, man sized, foot prints in the dry dirt that had been mud the day before. Shook her head then continued to work on the door. She decided to distract herself with work then worry about what happened in the past.
She finished outside then made her way back to the kitchen. She started making some spaghetti and meat balls. She didn't know a person who didn't like that. She figured it was a safe bet to make and he would like it. She smiled as she set everything up in the pots and began to work on it. "Your welcome, it's really no problem at all," Adrien smiled at her as he grabbed the new door from his truck and began to bring it up to the house. Soon he was putting it on, making sure everything worked right and then went ahead to the back of the house to that door.
This time it was his turn to spot the foot prints and he frowned, moving to set the set up against the frame he went to look at the prints. It was like whoever it was had stood there for a while, maybe watched them last night. Sighing he brushed a hand through his hair and cursed in a language that wasn't of this world before he returned to doing the door. He was really gonna have to look into this more. If some human attacked and killed her before he had the chance to take her soul he was screwed. His master wouldn't look past this one this time, he'd messed up already the last few times and if he screwed up now it was all over for him.
Sighing he finished putting the door on and went inside. "That should do it, they're on pretty tight and I made sure the locks and everything worked as well. Anything else you need me to do?" He asked with a smile. She did everything in her power not to worry or think about anything but the fact she wanted to repay him for everything he had done for her. It really meant a lot that he was helping her. She didn’t know too many people that would go out of their way to help a complete stranger. She looked up at him as he entered the room. She smiled in response to his comment before she pulled out one of the chairs.
“I can’t say that I’m the greatest cook in the world but I made us some dinner.” She said with the smile still spread across her face like butter on bread. There were two place settings at the table. In the middle sat a bowl of spaghetti and in a smaller dish sat meat balls and sausage. It was a decent amount for just two people but she wasn’t entirely sure just how hungry he would be. She knew she was very hungry. She always ate when she was scared or stressed out. And at the moment she was a little of both. “I wasn’t sure which you would like with your spaghetti. So I just made both. OH! I almost forgot the cheese. Everyone loves cheese on it.” She said before she scurried off to the fridge and grabbed the shredded cheese. She took the lid off and set it on the table. “I hope you like it.” She said with a nervous smile.
“Thank you for all you have done for me. I am not sure where I would be if you hadn’t of helped me. I never in my life could have imagined this happening to me.” She said as she sat down at the table. She put some spaghetti on her plate before she looked up at him and waited to see if he liked what she had made him or not. Adrian smiled at her and moved to sit down at the table after washing his hands. "This looks really good and no need to thank me, I'm sure anyone decent enough would've helped you out," He said as he dished out his own amount of spaghetti onto his plate and took a bit of both the sausage and meatballs before topping it off with cheese. Taking a bite he smiled even more. "This is really good, I have to say maybe almost better than my own," He chuckled a bit. "Then again mine tends to be really spicy so no one really likes to eat it but me," He shrugged. "Which is fine by me, I eat like a pig anyways half the time,"
