"That would be all I need to do is to reveal my true form. Everyone would realize my true identity and this facade of Rector would be done very quickly," Rector thought to himself.
"On top of those who will be disappointed, there will be some who see your choice as a sign of arrogance. That will annoy a few," Xerxes stated.
"Well noted Xerxes. Thank you for the heads up. Now will I be getting my supplies today or tomorrow?" Rector replied.
"We can try and find your supplies today. It's not that much. Night classes are more about learning to control our powers and sparring.
Rector's eyes opened wide at the word sparring. How would he use his powers without revealing his identity? Hopefully he wouldn't have to reveal his multi-element powers. He could only hope.
"I have 'til tomorrow to figure this out. Until then..." Rector thought to himself once again.
"Xerxes, I don't have a place to stay tonight. What do I do until tomorrow?" he questioned out loud. "Does the school have dormitories?"
Xerxes smirked and turned towards Rector.
"Of course but they're coed if that's alright with you?" the demon replied. "If you don't mind putting up with a few fangirls then I can get you a room."
"I don't mind whatsoever. Lead on Xerxes." Rector replied.
"Just be careful with the fangirls okay? They're not ones you want to get on the bad side of. Most guys would kill to be with one of them so watch your back if they decide to visit you."
"Thanks for teh warning Xerxes. It's well noted," the demon king replied.
As they finished their conversation, they arrived at a door. Xerxes opened it and walked inside after signalling Rector in.
"This will be your room. Take care of ti and it'll take care of you."
"Thanks again Xerxes. I owe you for the tour and accomodations>"
"It was no problem Rector. Maybe I'll see you in class tomorrow."
"With any luck," Rector replied as Xerxes turned and left, closing the door behind himself.
After locking the door, Rector mad ehis way to his bed and laid own upon the covered mattress. It was like laying on a cloud compared to his bed in demon world.
"I better bathe. Don't want to smell for my first day of school."
Rector rose fromt eh bed and stepped into his individual bathroom attached to his room. He disrobed and took a shower, making sure to take time to wash his clothes in the hot water since they were the only outfit he ahd until he receives a school uniform.
Once finished, Rector draped his clothing over the curtain rod to dry and walked back inot his bedroom in just a towel.
"Clever beings these mortals, inventing controllable running water. I wonder what else they may have invented since my last visit to the mortal realm? It will be interesting to find out tomorrow."
Once he was mostly dry, Rector laid back on the bed and attempted to fall asleep. He would need his strength for tomorrow.
The next morning Rector was awoken by a knock at the door. When he answered the door, he saw a young girl looking up at him.
"How may I help you? Isn't it early for my night classes?"
The girl replied "I just wantd to come and meet hte new guy that everyone's talking about."
"Mm-hm and your name is?" Rector replied groggily.
"Apologies, my name is Terra. Any yours?"
"Rector...Nice ta meet ya," Rector said with a yawn. "Can I get dressed now?"
"Oh don't worry bout me. I'll wait by the bed while you get dressed in your bathroom," she stated, running past him and jumping onto the bed.
Rector clsoed the door unphased and went into his bathroom. He closed the door behind himself and got dressed. A minute later he emerged fully dressed.
"So you met me Terra. Why are you still in my room?"
"Man those clothes are old. I'm here so you don't get lost throughout the day and can find your classes at night," she replied.
"I got hte basic tour from Xerxes yesterday. I only planned on exploring the grounds for a little while. I need some time to think about how to get out of these sparring matches tonight."
"What kind of demon are you that you're not looking forward to the sparring matches?"
Rector turned rapidly to look at Terra.
"That's noone's business but my own. I can't reveal my demonic side to anyone. It's against the rules anyway, isn't it?"
"Not at night. You're allowed to go all out if need be." she replied. "I'm sorry for asking. I was just curious cause it's not often you meet a demon that doesn't love fighting."
"No need to apologize. Demonic forms is just a sensitive topic for me."
"I understand Rector. No need to worry. I won't tell anyone that you don't like fighting or talking about your demonic form."
"Thanks Terra. Well I'm heading out for breakfast at the cafeteria. It's free and I can't pass up a free meal."
With that he amde his way out of the room and towards where he remembered Xerxes telling him about the cafeteria.
"Three meals a day and free place to stay. This place might turn out to be better than demon world," Rector spoke out loud.
"Doubt that," a voice came from behind Rector.
He turned to see Xerxes standing with a smirk on his face.
"From what I hear demon world is paradise compared to here." Xerxes stated.
"It's not too bad. At least here though you don't have to hunt for each meal. The foo dcomes to you," Rector replied.
"How do you know about Demon World Rector? Ever been there yourself?"
"Sure have Xerxes. That's where I lived and trained til yesterday."
"You have to sit with me and tell me about it!" Xerxes remarked excitedly.
"Sure Xerxes, as long as you tell me about recent advancements in the human world. Deal?"
"Deal," Xerxes replied.
"On top of those who will be disappointed, there will be some who see your choice as a sign of arrogance. That will annoy a few," Xerxes stated.
