She was able to fully restock her kitchen, finally! She was so glad, she could overlook Felyx acting so odd today. She plopped onto her sofa with a movie she just rented, Darkness Falls. It looked pretty good anyway...
She turned on the television and watched the movie in silence, occasionally jumping when something scary happened.

Felyx awoke and walked out of the room before the movie started. He saw the title of the movie on the rental case and knew that he wouldn't want to watch it. He wasn't one for horror flicks. He went into her room and laid down on the foot of her bed. He started trying to go to sleep but still woke every time he heard Suki in the other room whenever something frightening popped out. None the less he would continue the cold shoulder treatment and would attempt to go back to sleep.

Halfway through the movie, Suki turned it off and sighed deeply. "Okay... I'm not renting that movie again..." She frowned. She knew Felyx didn't like scary movies, but he never would leave her alone in the room. He'd usually turned away from the TV and go to sleep.
She sighed sadly and went to bed after dressing in her night gown. She pet Felyx on the head lightly and wanted to cry. He was acting really odd today. "Good night Felyx..." She murmured and went to sleep.

Felyx slept through the night at the foot of her bed. Her pat on his head and the look she gave him only made him feel worse for not being able to let her know everything. He would have to end the facade soon enough. It wouldn't take his pursuers long to find him if they knew a general area.

Briiiiiiiing.... briiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing!
Suki rolled over and sat up. She turned on her bedside lamp and looked at the phone in horror. Just last night she'd gotten an odd phone call in the middle of the night... Would it happen this time as well?
She picked it up and didn't say hello... she just listened. Finally a voice spoke, "I've found you." A male's voice whispered and then hung up. Her eyes widened and the slammed the phone down.
"That's it... I'm calling the police!" She sniffled, trying her best not to cry.
////
Soon the police were at her house and she told them about the previous call. "Please, I'm getting really scared." She finished explaining. The policeman sighed deeply and shook his head.
"Well miss, there's not much we can do except look around your house." He replied. "Everyone on this street's been getting calls just like that." He finished. Suki thanked them profusely and she waved them off.
"So much for that." She frowned.

Felyx had heard the phone ring. When he saw the police at the house, he knew it couldn't be good. He walked out to Suki and meowed. His curiosity had been peaked when he saw strangers in the house with badges and guns.
"Don't tell me she had another scary phone call. I wonder what it said this time?" he thought.

Suki sighed and walked back inside, accidentally brushing past Felyx. She didn't even realize he'd tried to get her attention. She turned and smiled at him. "Come on, Felyx." She called.
She locked the door once he trotted after her. "Phew... well, I'm not going to be doing anything tomorrow." She shivered.

Felyx followed her. Once she finally sat down, he jumped up next to her. He meowed again as if to ask her what was wrong. As aloof as he would try to act, he knew he couldn't resist this girl for long. She had been so good to him all this time. He wished he could speak. He wished he could tell her it would be alright. He wanted to tell her that he would protect her. Even if he could tell her that, how would she be comforted by that? He was only a larger than average house cat after all.

Suki smiled happily that Felyx wasn't ignoring her anymore. She grabbed the large cat and hugged him to her like she'd done before. She was frightened, but she didn't want to show it.
"Oh Felyx... I wish I knew what that guy wanted...." She whispered against the fur on the cat's neck.

He turned and licked her cheek once. He gave her a cattish grin and then a meow to signal her to go to bed and get some rest. He jumped off the bed and sat upright in the room. He turned back to her and meowed again as if to say that he would protect her through the night again.

She couldn't help but giggle. She certainly had a funny cat; but she followed none-the-less.
She got back into bed and laid down. "Good night, Felyx." She smiled, kissing him on the head. It wasn't long before she was asleep.

Once he was sure that she was asleep, he jumped up on the bed next to her. He silently walked up behind her until he was at her head.
"Dear Suki.....I won't let anything happen to you. I shall protect you no matter what may come. So rest and pleasant dreams."

The next morning, Suki got out of bed and instantly trotted to the kitchen. She began making breakfast. Even though she was trying to put her strange dream out of her head, it wouldn't seem to go away.
"Felyx!! Wake up sleeyhead! Breakfast is ready!" She called, dumping him a can of tuna in his bowl.

Felyx meowed as he walked out to the kitchen. He smiled at the sight in his bowl. He stretched once before digging in. It didn't take him long to clean out the bowl. He loved his tuna. He gave her another cattish grin and sat on the floor. He meowed to her. His tail curled from side to side.

Suki hummed thoughtfully as she finished making herself an omelet. She stood against the counter and ate slowly.'
"I wonder what that dream was all about..." She murmured.

Felyx tilted to the side out of curiosity. He meowed to her once more. It was then that a thought came to his head.
"Doesn't she have school today?"

She looked down at Felyx and smiled. "Its nothing. Just some dream I had last night..." She finished in a murmur.
"Hmmmm... today's Sunday...." She thought idly. What could she do that involved staying inside?

He corrected his head and gave that cattish grin.
"She's talking to me like a normal conversation with a human."

Suddenly a thought hit her.
"Ah, noooooo!" She slapped herself in the head with her right palm. She was doing it again! She was acting as though Felyx was a human! "Ack... I've gotta get out more." She groaned.

He couldn't hold back a hiss like laughter. She had noticed though. He meowed at her to try and cover it up.
"Dammit! he yelled at himself.

She raised an eyebrow at him. "Can you understand me... really, Felyx?" She questioned, kneeling down in front of the large cat.
Not waiting for his answer, she jumped up and slapped herself again. "Oh good Lord Suki! Get a grip.... he's a cat! Not a human... stop trying to make him one!" She shook her head.

Felyx meowed at her question. He gave her the same usual cattish grin as he watched her antics. He sighed out of relief that she didn't actually find out the truth about her precious kitty.
He waved a paw at her as a human would reach their hand out to get her to stop beating herself up over it.

The human girl glanced down at the large cat and smiled slightly. "I should get a boyfriend... maybe I'd loosen up then."
She shook her head again. "Let's find something to watch on TV, Felyx." She smiled again and walked into the living room.

Felyx meowed and followed her out to the television. He jumped up on the couch and found a cozy spot to lay down.
"That was close."

Suki flopped down, still in her nightgown, and flipped on the TV. She changed the channels quickly, finally settling on some foreign soap opera.
She wasn't much into the television at the moment. She was more concerned about the two anonymous phone calls she'd received.
